The Small Cities Development Program is a housing rehab program that provides assistance to qualifying homeowners to fix up their homes within the approved target areas. The City of St. Joseph in partnership with the Central MN Housing Partnership will be submitting a full grant application to the Department of Employment & Economic Development (DEED) Small Cities Development Program. DEED places an emphasis on small target areas with the highest number of homes that appear to have a higher need and therefore, eligible target areas were determined. The City was one of 36 communities out of 48 who were invited to submit a full grant application after submitting a preliminary proposal last fall.
